Publications
Sheet Music
I publish an array of concert pieces for the contrabass, focusing on the middle romantic era to the early modern musical era. The catalogue includes solo and chamber works by:

-
Anton Torello
-
Edward Nanny
-
Franz Simandl
-
Auguste Chapuis
-
Isaia Billé
-
Alex Schmidt

You can see from the archive that Anton Torello regularly used baritone bass tuning (A-D-G-C) in his compositions. That’s why I continue to publish music in baritone tuning, alongside the standard (E-A-D-G) tuning, so that players have a wide range of repertoire no matter their style. Upon request, you can also receive compositions in solo tuning (F♯-B-E-A).
I also publish my own compositions on this site in multiple tunings.
Audio Files
Many of the published works have corresponding accompaniment recordings (available separately) which have been specifically designed for solo bass practice.
Available formats include:
-
Solo melody only
-
Solo melody with piano
-
Piano accompaniment only
These recordings are meant to support rhythmic consistency, phrasing, intonation, and importantly your confidence as a performer.
